If PT=5x+3 and TQ=7x−9, what is PT?

PT=33
Explanation: 5x+3=7x-9
1) Subtract 5x from 7x
3=2x-9
2) Add 9
12=2x
3) Divide.
12/2=6 X=6

Plug into PT equation: 6 x 5 + 3 = 33
