To graph a linear equation you use the slope and y-intercept.
Step 1: since 2 is your y intercept you plot your point at 2 on the number line.

Step 2: use your slope to find the second point since -5/1 is your slope you go down 5 spaces and go right 1 space.

Step 3: draw line to connect the 2 points
